MoverWitness Exchange
(in deutscher Sprache!)
23. August - 28. August 2010

International Authentic Movement Conference 2010 on Lanzarote
12th - 16th July, 2010
Bonnie Meekums, PhD, SrDMP (UK), University of Leeds
Eila Goldhahn, PhD, SrDMP (UK), Germany:
"What means 'Authenticity' in
Movement?" "We all want to be seen as we are. We all want to be what we
truly are." These thoughts are often shared by movers and witnesses. I
will offer a MoverWitness Exchange (MWE) to consider
participants' varied notions of authenticity and what it means to
expect ourselves and others to be "authentic". Can we really separate
what is and what is not "authentic"? How may we pass judgement on
ourselves and others in our longing for authenticity? Is authenticity
possibly an illusion or a hindrance on the path to being present
and free?
